Seungmin Jung

BASSIST, COMPOSER, ARRANGER

Seungmin Jung is a highly talented and versatile bassist from Seoul, Korea. He earned a master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music and has studied with Buster Williams, John Benitez, and Jin-kyo Park. Seungmin has played at various venues in Korea and the United States, including Devil’s door and Dizzys jazz club.

He has taken ensemble classes with Matt Holeman, Scott Wendholt, Jeremy Manasia, and Kris Rosenberg. 
Seungmin won second prize at the Hyunsik Kim competition and continues to explore new techniques and sounds on his double bass.

He has a passion for scents, believing that they have the power to evoke emotions and memories. Seungmin's natural ability to connect with his audience through his music has made him a rising star in the jazz world.
